On 8-28-20, at approximately 8:30 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office received a call of a welfare check on multiple minor children at 209 N 2nd St. Randalia IA.  As Fayette County Sheriff Deputies arrived on scene to check welfare, a male subject exiting the residence was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the residence.  Upon Search of the residence, multiple drug paraphernalia items, illegal substances, pills, and illegal edibles were found and seized.  Valerie Sue Knospe, 33 of Randalia and William David Troxel, 40 of Randalia were both arrested and charged with Possession with intent to Deliver, a D Felony, 5 Counts of Child Endangerment, Aggravated Misdemeanors, Gathering Where Marijuana is used, Possession of marijuana, Possession of Cannabidiol, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, all Serious Misdemeanors, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Troxel was additionally charged with Possession of Controlled substance 3rd Offense, a D Felony.  Troxel and Knospe were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail where they awaited initial appearance.  All minor children at the residence were found to be okay.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State Patrol and Department of Human Services.  If convicted Troxel and Knospe could face up to 20 years in Prison.   


On 8-29-2020, at approximately 9:00 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a trespass near the intersection of 9358 Hemlock Rd.  Deputies located vehicle and after an interview, and Joseph Allen McMurrin 32 of Waucoma IA, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense Marijuana, a Serious Misdemeanor.  McMurrin was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County jail, where he was held until initial appearance.    


On 8-29-2020, at approximately 7:30 PM, Donald Burdette Johll, 54 of Independence, was arrested on a Fayette County Arrest warrant for a Controlled Substance Violation, B Felony.  Charges stem from a search warrant done on a vehicle Johll occupied in January of 2020.  Johll was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County jail, where he is being held on $25,000 cash bond.
