Location: Upper Iowa River/Bluffton

Incident Details: The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing female (age 29) who had been kayaking on the Upper Iowa River near Bluffton and had not returned. The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Decorah Volunteer Fire Department to help search the river. Fire and Rescue personnel located the female and reunited her with her family.

Accident Details: Audetat was traveling north on River Road when a cyclist entered the roadway right in front of her. Audetat was unable to stop and struck the cyclist. The juvenile female cyclist was transported by ambulance.

Accident Details: Manderfield was traveling north on Highway 52 when she struck a boat trailer being pulled by Walter. Airbags were deployed and Manderfield was trapped inside her vehicle. Manderfield was extricated from the vehicle by the Calmar Fire Department and transported by ambulance.
