Meth Charges

On October 31, 2019 at approximately 2:00 pm the Prairie du Chien Police Department K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on the 400 block of S. Marquette Road. During the course of the traffic stop, K-9 Rico was utilized and indicated to the presence of one or more controlled substances that he is trained and certified on. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in Heroin, Methamphetamine, and other drug paraphernalia associated with drug use was confiscated.

Through the course of the traffic stop, out of the seven occupants in the vehicle, it was determined that the person who possessed the contraband was Philip G. Lockhart, 30 years old, from Sparta, WI.

Lockhart was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail where he is being charged for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine, and multiple Felony Bailjumpings.

, Lockhart gave law enforcement and the Crawford County Judge his brother's identity of Benny Vann. Further charges of Obstructing Justice will be charged to Mr. Lockhart for going above and beyond.
