Volga City Council

The Volga City Council met for a special meeting on Sunday, October 20, 2019.  Mayor Duff called the meeting to order at 7:00pm in the Volga City Hall. Council members Dennis Christeleit, Jerome Godson, Elaine Follon, and Darren Nading answered. Mike Howard was in attendance. 

Pete Duff offered a closed session to Mike Howard. Mike Howard turned down the offer for a closed session and the interview for public works position was conducted as an open meeting.

Godson motioned to adjourn. Nading seconded. All voted in favor. Meeting was adjourned at 7:50pm.

The Volga City Council met for a special meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.  Mayor Duff called the meeting to order at 6:00pm in the Volga City Hall. Council members Dennis Christeleit, Jerome Godson, Elaine Follon, and Darren Nading answered Roll Call.      

Council was notified that a candidate had withdrawn from the scheduled interview. Council reviewed applications and will schedule a third interview at a later date.

Council reviewed breakdown of wages information. No action was taken

Robert Hansel entered the meeting.

Pete Duff offered a closed session to Robert Hansel. Hansel turned down the offer for a closed session and the interview for the public works position was conducted as an open meeting.

Godson motioned to adjourn.  Follon seconded. All voted in favor. Meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm.

The Volga City Council met for a special meeting on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.  Mayor Duff called the meeting to order at 6:00pm in the Volga City Hall. Council members Dennis Christeleit, Jerome Godson, Elaine Follon, and Darren Nading answered Roll Call. Justin DeWitte was also present.

Pete Duff offered a closed session to Justin DeWitte. DeWitte turned down the offer for a closed session and the interview for the public works position was conducted as an open meeting.

Follon motioned to approve the Floodplain Development Permit: River Bluffs Reflection Park. Christeleit seconded. All voted in favor. Motion Carried.

Mayor Duff updated council on the walkthrough of the pedestrian trail with the contractor on October 24. The area of concern has been addressed and the project is complete.

Council discussed information prepared on breakdown of wages, budget formulation, enterprise fund margin and wage requirements, and preliminary insurance information.  No action was taken.

Godson motioned to adjourn.  Follon seconded. All voted in favor. Meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm
