Grant Arrests

On 10-24-19 Deputies from the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force and Dickeyville Police department, observed two subjects at a motel in the Village of Dickeyville. Deputies were aware that the subjects had extraditable arrest warrants out of the State of Iowa. The subjects were in a vehicle in the parking lot.  As the Deputies were making contact the driver attempted to flee, ramming a drug task force vehicle with his vehicle. Officers subsequently took the driver Tyler K. Asbell 19 of Dubuque, Ia. and Fallon C. Murphy 22 of Dubuque, Ia.into custody. Asbell was in possession of brass knuckles on his person.

Deputies searched the vehicle and motel room and located a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, meth candy, scales, baggies, syringes and other items of drug paraphernalia.  A handgun was located in the motel room.

Asbell will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s office for charges relating to possessing with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintain drug trafficking place, carrying a concealed weapon, and reckless endangering safety.

Both subjects were taken to the Grant County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Iowa.
