On October 26th, 2019, the Dubuque Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Asbury Police Department, participated in a nationwide effort sponsored by the DEA to collect old and unused prescription medications.   Items collected included prescription medication, non-prescription medication, vitamins, herbals, supplements, syringes, and other items.

The items collected will be incinerated at a later date.

A special thanks to Sam’s Club for the use of their parking lot as a collection site.  Their assistance helped in our fight against prescription drug abuse and in the proper disposal of hazardous household items.

A reminder to anyone who may have missed this event, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office has a Prescription Drop Box located in the front lobby of the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center located at 770 Iowa St., Dubuque, Ia.
