On Thursday, August 8, 2019, at 9:00 am The Crawford County Dispatch Center was notified of a dump truck on fire.

Richard Wagner age 75 was raising the box on a 2018 Western Star Dump Truck in the construction zone on County Highway N. The box made contact with the power line. The power line arced causing the dump truck to catch fire. Wagner was able to jump from the truck but did receive a shock. He was taken to Crossing Rivers Hospital to be evaluated. The truck was a total loss.

Assisting at the scene was Eastman Fire Dept, Scenic Rivers Energy, James' Construction, and Crawford County Highway Dept.

On Friday, August 2, 2019, at approximately 3:01 PM, the Crawford County Dispatch Center was notified of a one-vehicle rollover crash on State Highway 60 east of Bush Hollow Road in Wauzeka Township. 
Sharon A. Martin, age 80, of Prairie du Chien, was traveling westbound in her 2015 Chevrolet Equinox when she fell asleep. Martin’s vehicle crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and she overcorrected going off the north side shoulder causing her vehicle to roll over. 
Martin was unable to free herself from the vehicle and the jaws of life were used. Martin claimed minor injuries from the crash. Martin’s vehicle sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene. 
Assisting the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was the Wauzeka Fire and First Responders, Bridgeport Fire Department, Tri-State Regional EMS, and Bob’s Towing.
