A McGregor man has been charged with second-degree theft and driving with a suspended license after allegedly stealing his grandmother's vehicle. 21-year old Tristan Close faces the charge in Clayton County. The Telegraph Herald reports that on June 13th at 11:05pm, Sandra Gunthe of McGregor noticed her vehicle was missing from her garage. Authorities determined that Close put gas in the vehicle and drove away without paying in Waukon and was later arrested with the vehicle by police in Caledonia, Minnesota. Close had been inside the Gunthe residence earlier in the day.
