On June 10, 2019 at 1:03 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a disturbance in Elgin near Guppy’s gas station.  Upon investigation, it was learned that a male and a female were doing a child exchange and during this exchange

an argument ensued. The male, identified as 29 year old Cory Allen O’Dell of West Union attempted to pull an 11 month old out of the arms of the female that was involved.  O’Dell then followed the female’s vehicle at a very close distance, placing the safety of the occupants in the vehicle at risk or harm.  O’Dell was located and arrested for Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.  He was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held for an initial appearance in court.

 

On 6-5-19 at approximately 9:38 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a car vs calf accident on Highway 93 near Fayette. Upon investigation it was discovered that Junior Coram 26 of Ossian was travelling east on 93 when the calf entered the roadway and was struck. Coram’s 2002 Chevy SUV sustained minor, but functional damage. The calf was killed. The driver sustaiend no injuries.

 

On 6-5-19 at approximately 9:47 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car vs deer accident near Westgate. Upon investigation Sheryl Walker 42 of Westgate was travelling north bound on T Ave when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. The vehicle sustained approximately $2000.00 worth of damage. There were no injuries.
