The Edgewood-Colesburg School Board approved the budget for the upcoming school year.  The tax rate will go down to 13.19-per thousand, a decrease of 90-cents due to changes in the levy.
The Board approved a contract agreement with the teachers with a 2.6-percent package increase.
They approved the 19-20 Calendar with a start date of August 23rd.
Susan Moore resigned as an Associate.  Roger Wright moves from Junior High to Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach.

Approved Resolution of Intent to Participate in the Instructional Support Levy (ISL)

Approved Public Hearing Date for the Instructional Support Levy (ISL).  This levy will provide $ 235,958.00 in FY20.  Hearing date was set for May 20th at 6PM in Colesburg.  Regular board meeting to follow.

Approved Agreements with Mercer to provide health insurance coverage through Blue Cross/Blue Shield with the Iowa Educators Trust

Approved Teacher Master Contract Agreement -  Agreed to a five year contract, until July 1, 2024. Salary and wages will be reopened each contract year for negotiation.  Majority of current langugae will stay the same. Article V: Insurance, Article VII: Staff Reduction Policy, Article X: Career Teacher Evaluation Procedure, Article XIII: Dues Deduction will be removed and with the exseption of Due Deduction be placed in board policy. The total cost of this proposal is an increase of 2.6%, with a total cost of $81,092. Base Increase - $0, Insurance Increase -$475,  TSA Increase - $140 and Schedule B Increase - $600

Approved AEA Purchasing Agreement

Approved Audit Bid from Nolte, Cornman, & Johnson. Nolte came in with the lower price and scored higher on our evaluation criteria. Nolte’s price breakdown is as followed: $7,850 for the year ended June 30, 2019, $8,250 for the year ended June 30, 2020, $8,600 for the year ended June 30, 2021.
