On 4-8-19, at approximately 10:00 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a disorderly individual causing property damage at 122 Mill Street Clermont IA.  After Fayette County Sheriff Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an investigation, James Block, 34 of Clermont, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.  Block was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he is currently being held. 

 

On 4-6-19, at approximately 5:15 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a single vehicle accident in the 3000 Block of Rose Rd, just outside of Oelwein.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.  It was found that Amy Sue Dahl, 43 of Oelwein, was westbound on 35th St. initiating a curve, when she went into the west ditch on Rose Rd.  it was further discovered that Dahl was intoxicated with a minor child in the vehicle.  Dahl was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor, Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, Assault On a Peace Officer, a serious misdemeanor, Interference With Official Act, Open Container, and Reckless Driving, all simple misdemeanors.  No injuries were sustained and damage to the 1995 Chevy Lumina was minimal.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Oelwein Police Department, Oelwein Fire, and Oelwein Ambulance.
