One Vehicle Crash with Injury

On March 9, 2019 at 3:03 PM, Kora R Scullion, age 19 of Highland, WI, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on County Line Rd near New California Rd and began to slide on the slush covered roadway. Scullion lost control of the vehicle due to weather conditions and slid into the west ditch of County Line Rd and struck a snowbank. Scullion's vehicle received moderate damage. Scullion was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries. Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Montfort EMS, Livingston Fire Department, and Haase's of Montfort.

One Vehicle Rollover

 On March 9, 2019 at 4:00 PM, Isaac D Meier, age 20 of Cuba City, WI, was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry southbound on Highway 80 near Prairie Rd and began to slide on the ice covered roadway. Meier's lost control of the vehicle due to weather conditions and slid into the west ditch of Highway 80. Meier's vehicle stuck the snow bank and rolled, coming to a rest on it's top and receiving heavy damage. Meier was wearing his seatbelt and received no injuries. Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by SOS Towing of Platteville.

One Vehicle Rollover

03/09/19 HWY 81 / JENTZ BAKER DR, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818 On March 9, 2019 at 4:40 PM, Steven C Holden, age 40 of rural Lancaster, WI, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR northbound on Highway 81 near Jentz Baker Dr. Holden began to slide on the ice covered roadway and lost control of the vehicle due to weather conditions. His vehicle spun around in the roadway, struck a rock embankment, rolled, and came to a rest on it's wheels in the west ditch. Holden's vehicle received heavy damage. Holden was wearing his seatbelt and received no injuries. Holden was cited for Failure to Notify Police of Accident. Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Bennett's Towing of Lancaster.

One vehicle crash

On 03-09-19 at approximately 5:17 p.m., it was reported to the Grant County Sheriff's Office that a one vehicle crash had occurred on Hwy 81 near Bluff Road. Dallas J. Timmerman, age 24 of Shullsburg, was operating his 2006 Ford Fusion traveling north bound on Hwy 81. near Bluff Rd. Hoffman lost control of his vehicle due to slippery conditions of the roadway. Timmerman's vehicle left the roadway and struck a snow bank, on the east side of the road. Timmerman was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. Timmerman's vehicle received minor damage. Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Bennett's Towing of Lancaster.

Traffic stop leads to OWI 3rd Arrest

On 03/10/2019, Andrew D. Ohms, 34, of Hazel Green, was stopped for a defective muffler in the city of Cuba City. Upon contact with Andrew, the Grant County Sheriff's Deputy observed signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests were conducted and Andrew was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense. Andrew was transported to Southwest Health for additional testing and then released to a responsible party. Andrew was also cited for Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device, Operating While Revoked and Drinking Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.
