Crash with property damage

On March 8, 2019 at approximately 1100 AM Lisa Dietzel, age 58 of Potosi, was traveling south on Church Road near the intersection of Cliff Lane, Jamestown Township in her 2018 Dodge Caravan. Dietzel was negotiating a curve in the roadway when she lost control of the Caravan causing the vehicle to go into a ditch the west side of the roadway. The Caravan overturned and came to rest on its side. Dietzel was not injured in the crash and was wearing her safety belt. Dietzel was issued a citation for operating with a suspended drivers license. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Donnies Tire and Tow, Dickeyville.

Semi versus Car Crash 

On March 9 at 3:50 PM Sean Schreiner, age 18 of Rib Lake WI, was driving his 2004 Chevrolet south on Hwy 61/151 and began to slide on the ice covered roadway. Schreiner's vehicle spun sideways striking the rear semi trailer tire of a 2014 Freightliner driven by Felecia Phillips, age 52 of Plover WI. Schreiner's vehicle then slid into the median of the highway receiving heavy damage. Shreiner and passengers were all wearing seatbelts and were uninjured. Shreiner's car was towed from the scene by Automotion Towing with heavy damage. Phillips was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured. The semi trailer had minor damage to one of its wheels and was driven from the scene. The Jamestown Fire Department, Jamestown 1st Responders, and Dickeyville EMS assisted at the scene.

One Vehicle Crash 

Subjects Involved: Driver: Jessica Koppa (33) Wausau WI Passenger: Aalyjah Nash (24) Wausau WI Vehicles Involved: Koppa was driving a 2018 Nissan Alt. On Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 5:33 P.M. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Hwy 151 north of Cth D in Platteville Township for a one vehicle slide off. After speaking with the operator Jessica Koppa she stated while traveling south on Hwy 151 she lost control due to the slippery road conditions. Jessica was operating a rental car. The vehicle slid off the right shoulder hitting a embankment and coming to a rest. The vehicle received bumper & under carriage damage. Jessica & her passenger Aalyjah were wearing their seatbelts the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle received damage however it was functional. The vehicle was removed from th ditch by SOS Towing. No citation was issued.

One Vehicle Crash

 Subjects Involved: Driver: Jay Mezra Cassville WI ( 22-) Passenger: Kelly Jo Schluenz Lancaster WI (24) Vehicles Involved: Mezra was driving a 2011 Ford F150 On Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7:34 P.M the Grant County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to HWY 35/61 south of Kelly Lane in Paris Township for a one vehicle crash. After speaking with the subjects involved it was determined Mezera lost control of his vehicle due to the slippery road conditions. The vehicle slid off the west side of the roadway and coming to a rest after hitting a tree. There were no injuries reported. The Mezera vehicle was towed by Arrow Towing from Lancaster. The Mezera's vehicle received heavy front end damage the airbags did not deploy. No citations were issued.

One vehicle crash

On 3/10/2019, around 6:20 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff's received a report of a one vehicle crash on CTH-G just north of Biba Road in Castle Rock Township. The vehicle was on it's top and no one around. Deputy arrived on scene around 6:55a.m. and located the vehicle, after conducting a records check on the vehicle it was registered to a Michael Birkley with a Richland Center address. The vehicle was removed by Haase's towing out of Montfort. With assistance from the Richland Center Police department the driver/owner was located, it was determined that Michael Birkley, age 20 was driving his 2009 Chevy Impala northbound on CTH-G around 3:00a.m., and lost control on the snow covered roadway hitting the ditch and flipping onto it's roof. Michael was cited for Operating after Suspension.
