On 02/01/2019 the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office conducted tobacco compliance checks at retail establishments throughout Fayette County. A minor under the direct supervision of a Deputy entered retail establishments in an attempt to purchase tobacco products. All retail establishments where compliant.

 

 

On 2-4-19 at approx.. 11:05 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car vs. deer accident on D Ave north of Kornhill Rd. Upon further investigation 17 year old male driver of the 2006 Jeep was traveling north on D Ave. when a deer entered into the roadway and the driver was unable to get stopped. There was approx. $6000.00 dollars damage to the vehicle and no one was injured in the accident.

 

On January 29th, 2019 at approximately 6:22 p.m. Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch located near the intersection of 210TH Street and Highway 150. Upon arrival it was discovered that Kimori K. Goldsberry, age 56 of Elkader had lost traction with her 2001 Ford Ranger and traveled into the South ditch. No injuries were reported and  the Ford Ranger sustained minor damages. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Department.

 

On January 29th. 2019 at approximately 7:25 p.m. Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a disturbance at Prairie View Residential Facility. Upon conducting an investigation Talin Hall, age 40 of Waterloo, IA was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (simple misdemeanor) and criminal mischief (simple misdemeanor). Hall was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he awaits initial appearance. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Department.
