Fayette Burglary

On 1-2-19, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary in rural Hawkeye IA.  Information provided, showed that an underage party with alcohol occurred on the evening of 12-31-18, and during this party  it was determined that  individuals burglarized a secured room and stole multiple firearms from the residence.  After  completing an investigation Kameron Mannen Powell Sikkink age 19 of New Hampton, Paul Wayne Laganiere III age 18 of Lime Springs, and another juvenile minor age 17 were all charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, Trafficking in Stolen Firearms, a Class D Felony, and Theft 2nd, a Class D Felony.  On 1-24-19, Sikkink was arrested and transported to Fayette county jail, and on 1-25-19 Laganier was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail.  Both individuals are being held on $20,000 bond and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

                During the course of this Fayette County investigation Ashley Maureen Pleggenkuhle, 18 of Hawkeye, and Kimberly Lynn Pleggenkuhle 53 of Hawkeye were found to have hosted the underage party, where minors were present and alcohol was being consumed. Both Ashley Maureen Pleggenkuhle and Kimberly Lynn Pleggenkuhle were cited for permitting persons under 18 to consume/ possess alcohol, a simple misdemeanor.  During the investigation process, Fayette County Sherrif’s Office was assisted by Postville and Monona Police Department’s and Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office.
