On 11-29-18 at approximately 11:07 PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office took a report of a car vs deer accident in the 7000 block of Filmore Rd. Upon investigation it was determined that Justin Pfister 18 of Hawkeye. Was operating his Chevy Malibu when a deer entered the road way and was struck. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle sustained approximately $2500 worth of damage.  

On December 2, 2018, at approximately 11:20 PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the 25,000 block of Garden Road; approximately six miles west of Clermont. When Fayette County Deputies arrived on scene, the driver was not on scene. Upon investigation, a Black 2009 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 Truck had been driving north bound when it lost control and went into the west side ditch. The truck struck an electric pole which temporarily caused the electricity to be out in the area. After further investigation, it was determined that David Lee Kleppe, age 33 of Ossian, was the driver and only occupant. No injuries were reported. The truck is considered a total loss. Kleppe received a citation for Failure to Maintain Control and Failure to use Seat Belt.

On December 3, 2018 at approximately 12:26 AM a Fayette County Deputy stopped a Pontiac Grand Prix on Highway 150 in the city of Oelwein.  42 year old Jammie Ann Beisell of Oelwein was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.  Beisell was charged with Driving While Barred.  Beisell also had an active warrant for her arrest through Wright County for failure to appear on a 3rd degree theft charge.

On 12/1/18 at  8:13 AM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office took a report of a vehicle that struck a deer on Kornhill Rd west of 128th St. An investigation determined that Richard Scott McAllen age 55 from Hazleton was operating a 2006 Chevrolet CK1500 truck westbound on Kornhill when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. There was an estimated $5000 damage to the vehicle. McAllen was not injured.
