Two Vehicle Accident with entrapment
Subjects Involved:
Drivers: Emmett Runde (92) Cuba City WI., Carlos Sosa (19) East Dubuque IL.
Vehicles Involved: Runde was driving a 2014 Chevy Captiva, Sosa was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee
On Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 3:02 P.M. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Hwy 151 at Old Highway road for a two vehicle accident in Jamestown Township. Jamestown Fire and Dickeyville Rescue were dispatched to the scene also. Sosa was extricated from his vehicle by Jamestown Fire. After speaking with the operator Runde he stated he didn't stop completely at a stop sign while he was at the intersection of Old Highway Road & Hwy 151. Runde said he proceeded across the roadway when he didn't see the southbound vehicle until he drove into the side the Cherokee. Sosa's vehicle slid off the roadway into a median it rolled several times before coming to a rest on its wheels. Runde's vehicle slid into the median. Runde & Sosa were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, no airbags were deployed. The vehicles received
heavy damage the vehicles were removed by Donnie's Tire & Tow. Sosa was transported by Dickeyville Rescue to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. Runde was transported by private vehicle. The injuries for both operators are unknown.  Runde will be cited for Inattentive Driving. Sosa will be cited for No Insurance on his vehicle.

Car Vs Farm Tractor
11/15/18 Hwy 11at Mill rd, Hazel Green, WI
On November 15, 2018 at 9:49 pm the Grant County Sheriff's Department received a report of a car vs farm tractor accident on Hwy 11 near Mill Rd in Hazel Green Township. A Grant County Deputy arrived and found that Jeanette R. Nondorft (73) of Cuba City was traveling east on Hwy 11 in a 2018 Kia Sportage. Pyzer D. Pearce (21) of Hazel Green was also traveling east on Hwy 11 and was operating a tractor pulling a round baler. Jeanette did not see the tractor until a moment prior to the collision. Jeanette swerved into the oncoming lane to avoid a direct collision with the tractor. Jeanette, struck the rear tire of the tractor causing substantial damage to her vehicle and minor damage to the tractor. Pyzer was not injured. Jeanette received minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital by Hazel Green EMS. Munyon's Towing removed the vehicle. Hazel Green Police Department, Hazel Green Fire Department and Hazel Green EMS assisted on scene. The crash
remains under investigation.


ONE VEHICLE ROLLOVER WITH INJURY
CFS18-29507 11/16/18 HWY 133 / SAND LAKE LN, CASSVILLE, WI 53806
On November 16th at 9:14 pm the Sheriff's Office was notified of a one vehicle rollover crash with injuries on Highway 133 near Sand Lake Lane in the Township of Cassville. After investigation it was found that 23 year old Joshua Seyfferth, of Dodgeville, was operating his 1995 Ford Ranger southbound on Highway 133. While negotiating a corner, the vehicle left the highway on the south side. Seyfferth corrected the vehicle and as it re-entered the roadway the truck began to overturn. The truck rolled approximately 3 times before coming to a rest on its wheels in the middle of the highway. Seyfferth was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. Seyfferth received serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Grant Regional Health Center via ambulance. Seyfferth was later transferred to a hospital in Madison.  Cassville Fire, Cassville EMS, and B&M Towing assisted at the scene. Seyfferth will be cited for Failure to Wear Seatbelt and Operating a
Motor Vehicle without Proof of insurance. The crash remains under investigation.

Warrant Arrest leads to other charges
CFS18-30107 11/23/18 245 E MINERAL ST, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818
On November 23, 2018 at approximately 1:35 pm a Grant County Deputy was executing a body only arrest warrant at 245 E Mineral St in Platteville. William Howell, age 43 from Platteville, was arrested on the warrant. While searching Howell's person incident to arrest Methamphetamine, Drug paraphernalia, two knives, and several oxycodone pills were discovered. Howell was arrested for the valid arrest warrant and subsequently arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Prescription
Medications without a Prescription, Felon Carrying a Concealed Knife, four counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and four counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Howell was transported to the Grant County Jail where he remains without bond.

One Vehicle crash
CFS18-30164 11/24/18 SHORT CUT RD, BEETOWN, WI 53802
Subjects Involved: Driver: Adrianna Lau (22) Glen Haven WI.
Vehicles Involved: Lau was driving a 2014 BMW Sedan
On Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 08:59 A.M. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Short Cut Road east of Center Lane in Beetown for a one vehicle accident involving a guard rail.
After speaking with the operator Adrianna Lau she stated while traveling east on Short Cut Road she lost control of her vehicle while traveling down a hill and negotiating the curves. Lau stated because of the wet roadway and the mud that was on the roadway she lost control. Lau's vehicle came to a rest after hitting a guard rail. Adrianna was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident the airbags did not deploy. The
vehicle received heavy front end damage. The vehicle was removed by B&M"S Auto.
No Citations were issued.
