Dubuque Accdident

On October 26, 2018 at approximately 2:35 AM the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and Sherrill Fire Department responded to Highway 52 North just south of the Northwest Arterial for a reported head on collision between a passenger car and a semi with trailer. Investigation revealed that Jeremy Gee (33 YOA) of Dubuque was traveling south on Highway 52 North, approximately ½ Mile south of the NW Arterial intersection when he crossed the centerline. The Gee vehicle struck a northbound semi/trailer being driven by Eric M. Davis (54 YOA) of Galena head on. No injuries were reported by either driver. The Gee vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 damage and the semi tractor sustained approximately $25,000 damage. The southbound lanes of Highway 52 North at the scene were closed for approximately one hour while the road was cleared.

Gee was subsequently placed under arrest and held on a charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for failure to obey traffic control device, failure to yield half of roadway, and no insurance.
