Medical Response to River Ridge High School

On October 23, 2018, at 8:46 a.m. the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the West Grant EMS responded to the River Ridge High School for a 14 year old male subject with an unknown medical problem. The initial investigation indicates that the juvenile male subject possibly inhaled alcohol through the means of a Vape (electronic cigarette) smoking device. This caused the subject to suffer symptoms associated with alcohol poisoning. The subject was transported to Crossing Rivers Medical Center and then air lifted to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in serious condition. This matter remains under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
