PRESS RELEASE:
On October 2, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Terrell L. Quinn, of Dubuque, IA, for a probation violation.

On October 1, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Aaron Howes, of Dubuque, IA, for failure to serve jail time

On September 30, 2018, at approximately 2:37 p.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to single-vehicle accident on 135th Street. Derek D. Lubben, of Earlville, IA was negotiating a curve on 135th Street when he states an unidentified vehicle forced him off the roadway.

On September 30, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 3 / Nature Road by Greeley, IA.
Michael J. Pritchard, of Colesburg, IA, was charged with Operating While Under the Influence - 2nd Offense. He was also cited with Driving on Wrong Side of Two Way Highway and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability

On September 29, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on David Burreson, of Evansdale, IA, for failure to appear.

On September 28, 2018, at approximately 6:48 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to vehicle-deer accident on 210th Street. Joan Steger, of Earlville, IA was traveling on 210th Street when a deer entered the roadway and Steger was unable to avoid striking the deer.

On September 26, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in Dundee, IA, after receiving several phone calls with no one speaking on the other end. Upon arriving and speaking with a female at residence, Douglas M. Zearley, of Dundee, IA, was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault - 2nd Offense.

On September 24, 2018, at approximately 6:12 a.m., the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 38 by Sand Springs. Timothy Vanmeter, of Monticello, IA was traveling northbound on Hwy 38 and attempted to pass a tractor when he realized there was oncoming traffic and swerved back into the lane and broadsided the tractor driven by Daniel Catlett, of Hopkinton, IA, causing his vehicle to spin around and land in the ditch. Vanmeter was charged with Driving While Barred and was issued a summons to appear in court. He was also cited with Unsafe Passing and Violation of Financial Liability - Accident.

On September 24, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on 3rd Street in Delhi, IA. Ryan Leppert, of Edgewood, IA, was charged with Driving While License Revoked and Driving While License Suspended.

On September 23, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Robert A. Gray, of Anamosa, IA, for False Report to a Public Entity, Leave Scene of Personal Injury Accident, Drive on Wrong Side of Two Way Highway, and Fail to Maintain Control. The charges stem from an accident which occurred on January 27, 2018.

On September 23, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle in the ditch off of Old Hwy 20 outside of Manchester, IA. Gregory S. Reid, of Oelwein, IA, was charged with Operating While Under the Influence - 1st Offense.

On September 14, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of suspicious activity at a residence on 120th Avenue by Dundee. Michael O. Miller, of Manchester, IA, was charged with Trespass.

On September 14, 2018, at approximately 5:39 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to vehicle-deer accident on 330th Avenue. Tyler J. Mensen, of Dyersville, IA, was traveling north when a deer entered the roadway from the east ditch. The driver was unable to avoid striking the animal.

On September 13, 2018, at approximately 8:03 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a single semi tractor/trailer in the ditch on Highway 13 north of Manchester. The driver, Matthew A. Vaske, of Manchester, IA, was heading southbound and as he was negotiating a left curve he veered into the south ditch and lost control. He was cited with failure to maintain control.

On September 12, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Charles Leppert, of Manchester, IA, for a probation violation.

On September 12, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Devin Ament, of New Vienna, IA, for Assault and Trespass. The charges stem from an incident that occurred at a residence on 182nd Street, Dyersville on July 14, 2018.

On September 11, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Ryan Humphreys, of Manchester, IA, for a sex offender registry violation. The charge stems from information obtained while conducting sex offender registry compliance checks.

On September 9, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted alcohol compliance checks at businesses in Delaware County. Isaiah M. Paustian, of Manchester, IA, was cited with Employee - Supplying Alcohol to Person Under Legal Age.

On September 10, 2018, at approximately 5:45 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Amanda E. Fisher, of Worthington, IA, was southbound and went straight off a curve to the west. The vehicle damaged a fence and had damage to the underneath of her vehicle. She was cited with failure to maintain control.

On September 7, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 13, by Ryan, IA. Jeremy P. McKnight, of Anamosa, IA, was charged with Driving While Barred and Driving While License Suspended. McKnight was also cited with speeding and failure to provide proof of financial liability.

On September 2, 2018, at approximately 4:03 p.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Jefferson Road. The driver, Talitha Anderson, of Manchester, IA, was northbound on Jefferson Road in heavy rain and hydroplaned into the west ditch.
Anderson was cited with driving while license under suspension and failure to maintain control.
