Trench Rescue

On 8/31/2018 at 2:45 P.M. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a 911 call of a female trapped in a trench from a collapsed dirt wall located at 10408 Ivy Road north of Fayette. Once deputies arrived they found Bridgett Lavaon Fox age 25 of Randalia down in a trench and it looked as if the dirt had collapsed trapping her in the trench. Fayette and West Union Fire and ambulance crews worked on freeing Fox for over 40 minutes. Once she was freed she was air lifted to Gunderson Hospital in Lacrosse by Gunderson Air . Fox’s injuries are unknown at this time. Fayette County was also assisted by several local equipment companies to help move dirt and rescue Fox.
