Fayette Releases

On August 24, 2018, at approx. 1:15 am a Fayette County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speeding in Waucoma. During the stop it was determined that Daniel Michael Ruroden, age 42 of West Union, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Ruroden was also found in possession of methamphetamine. Ruroden was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. Ruroden was charged with Driving While License Suspended, Failure to have SR22 insurance, Excessive speed, Possession of Methamphetamine, and 2 counts-Possession of drug paraphernalia. Ruroden is being held in the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance with a Magistrate.

 

On 8-24-18, at approximately 6:15 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car deer accident near the intersection of Highway 150 and 130th St.  When arriving on scene, it was found that Tereasa Lenius, 50 of Fayette, was travelling southbound on Highway 150 when a deer came into the roadway striking her vehicle.  No injuries were reported, and damage to the 2014 Toyota Corolla was estimated at $7,000. 

 

On 08/21/2018 A Fayette County Deputy took custody of Austin Halstead-Clark, 23 on a valid Fayette county warrant for failure to appear.  Halstead-Clark was transported to Fayette County Jail where he is held on a $200.00 cash bond.   Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Bremer County Sheriff’s Office.

 

On 08/21/2018 a Fayette County Deputy arrested Alexander Michael Joseph Carlson, 22 on a valid Buchanan County Warrant.  Carlson was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he will await extradition.

 

On 8-22-18 at approx. 1:54 AM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car vs deer accident on Golden Road. Upon investigation Randy Torson 59 of Elgin was travelling in his 2004 Chevy Truck when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. His truck sustained approx. $1500.00 worth of damage and there were no injuries reported.
