Hawk Watch

Help us celebrate the magnificent fall migration of raptors and other birds along the Mississippi River Flyway with the annual HawkWatch event on Saturday, October 3rd at the Driftless Area Wetlands Centre in Marquette, Iowa. The event runs from 10am to 2pm, with birding experts on hand all day to help identify raptors and other birds migrating through the area. River Valley Raptors will present educational "Falcons of the Driftless" live raptor programs in the morning and afternoon. All programs will be held outdoors. If the weather cooperates, local ornithologist Jon Stravers will bring hawks from his hawk banding station to be released at the event. Take-home activities for families will be available for pick-up. Masks are required when social distancing is not possible.
