Summer Evening Programs at Effigy Mounds



What do bats, mushrooms, wilderness, the Mississippi River, art, citizen science and mounds all have in common?  The answer is Effigy Mounds National Monument Summer Evening Programs!  Join us every Sunday and Tuesday evening at 7:00PM in the Effigy Mounds National Monument Visitor Center for fun explorations and intriguing discussions about these topics.


All programs begin at 7:00pm and are offered through the summer season ending on October 20th.  Attendance is free and reservations are not required.  Below are the topics and scheduled dates:

In addition to the Sunday and Tuesday Summer Evening Programs, ranger led hikes to Fire Point are offered 7-days a week, twice daily at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  No reservations are required, just show up and join us.  All programs at Effigy Mounds National Monument are free, with no cost to enter the park. The Effigy Mounds National Monument Visitor Center is located at 151 Highway 76, Harpers Ferry, IA 52146 and is open daily from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
